Last year at the Appalachian Stringband Festival (Clifftop) in West Virginia I was lucky enough to sit down with Harry Bolick one afternoon and play some tunes with him for his latest project, The Completely Lost Mississippi Fiddle Tunes. Harrys ambition to bring light to these old and almost forgotten versions of fiddle tunes has always amazed me, having previously released a book, 'Mississippi Fiddle Tunes and Songs  from the 1930's' and subsequent recordings showcasing the tunes collected and presented within it.

I was honored to be asked to play some Banjo for this latest release, along with Christina Tanczos (fiddle), Noah Bowman (tuba, guitar), and Kenneth Bloom (tenor guitar) for the live field recording second half of the album. It was a challenging yet fun afternoon of learning these new (or old) versions of well known tunes, made even more special by being surrounded by the West Virginian woodlands.

Check out the album in the link below, it's something special and packed full of incredible musicians. Find me on tracks 58 and 59.
