Aberystwyth Storytelling Festival 2019

My good friend and local storytelling legend Peter Stevenson is curating this exciting event happening in Aberystwyth at the end of October. Lately Peter has been involved with bringing Welsh storytellers, artists, and musicians over to West Virginia in a cultural exchange. I hear it was a massive success and hugely popular, strengthening the connection that Wales has with West Virginia, a connection dating back to the early coal mining days within each community. With this second leg of the festival, Peter is bringing over some renowned storytellers and musicians to highlight some of their traditions from across the pond, and I will also be doing a set of Appalachian tunes along with some friends of mine. I have also been asked to write some music for a book reading on the day too, exciting stuff!
